UA Board of Regents to Meet in Juneau, September 23-24
The Board will consider tuition rates and a resolution supporting a new statewide career and technical education plan. The 11-member governing board for the UA System also will hear a report about the economic and social impacts of the system’s community campuses at the meeting.

The University of Alaska Board of Regents September meeting is being held this week on the UAS Juneau Campus at the National Guard/REC Center joint use facility (off back loop road across from the back entrance to campus). This is new UA President Patrick Gamble’s first visit to UAS and the Juneau Campus as President.
The Board will consider tuition rates and a resolution supporting a new statewide career and technical education plan. The 11-member governing board for the UA System also will hear a report about the economic and social impacts of the system’s community campuses at the meeting. The two-day meeting will start at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23 and end at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 24.
Public Testimony will take place both days at 10 a.m. Alaska and local residents are encouraged participate. Sign-up sheets will be available prior to the meeting. The chair will determine when public testimony is closed. Comments are limited to three minutes per individual or as determined by the chair. Written comments are accepted and will be distributed to the Board of Regents and President Gamble following the meeting.
