Vic Fischer grew up in Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia, came to the US with the help of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, fought his former peers in WW2, helped write the Alaska Constitution, and served the state for decades, helping re-build after the 1964 earthquake, as a state senator and as the founder of the Institute of Social and Economic Research at UAA.

Vic Fischer will tell his stories in person and answer questions from the audience at the next Sound and Motion Friday, February 22nd, 7 p.m. at the Egan Lecture Hall on the UAS Auke Lake campus. After the presentation, he will sign books.
