International Correspondent Peter Kenyon to Speak at UAS News Engagement Day
Kenyon started his public radio career at KFSK in Petersburg, Alaska, then went on to cover the Alaska State Legislature for the Alaska Public Radio Network. He joined NPR in 1995 as a Washington, D.C. correspondent, reporting on the U.S. Senate and the White House. Kenyon moved to Cairo in 2005 where he covered the Middle East and North Africa for five years before taking an assignment in Istanbul.

NPR’s international correspondent Peter Kenyon will speak at the UAS News Engagement Day on Tuesday, September 18 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in the Egan Lecture Hall.
Kenyon started his public radio career at KFSK in Petersburg, Alaska, then went on to cover the Alaska State Legislature for the Alaska Public Radio Network. He joined NPR in 1995 as a Washington, D.C. correspondent, reporting on the U.S. Senate and the White House. Kenyon moved to Cairo in 2005 where he covered the Middle East and North Africa for five years before taking the Istanbul assignment, which he calls an opportunity “to bring an international perspective to news involving Turkey and Iran.”
News Engagement is an international effort to encourage people of all ages to become better informed by reading, watching, listening to, and discussing news as well as learning more about journalism’s purpose and principles in a democratic society.
