The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) has been recognized as a Military Friendly® School for 2020-2021. UAS was granted the desgnation because of the high value placed on its student veterans and active duty personnel. UAS strives to support and encourage the academic and overall success of its veteran students.

Military Friendly® is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful opportunity for the military community. Military Friendly® Schools strive towards and succeed in the areas that matter most in helping veterans make the transition from the military to school and, ultimately, satisfying careers in the civilian world.
